Aging Successfully in Scripps Ranch

Scripps Ranch Elder Care Alliance (SRECA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization for Scripps Ranch residents, by Scripps Ranch residents.

The SRECA was created in 2009 to provide seniors an alternative to moving from their home to a retirement or assisted living community. We are leading the trend of "aging in place in the suburbs" by organizing and delivering programs and services here on the Ranch that allow our friends, family and neighbors to lead safe, healthy, productive lives in their own homes.

Scripps Ranch has more than 9,000 residents over the age of 50. This represents 28% of our community. The SRECA's mission is to support productive and enjoyable aging in place in Scripps Ranch by providing information, education, recreation and assistance.

Transportation

Providing transportation within the 92131 service area to medical appointments, grocery shopping, church, etc. For transportation services outside the 92131 zip code, contact ITNSanDiego.

Home Help

Providing short-term assistance with chores, errands and small projects.

Disaster Planning

Helping Scripps Ranch seniors prepare for disasters, such as fires or earthquakes, with a special focus on evacuation preparedness.

Enrichment & Social Activities

Providing a wide range of classes, lectures, cultural events and outings.

Information & Referrals

Educating community members about available services.

Other Services

Meal preparation and delivery, respite care and companionship.
