Kathy Randall

Kathy Randall, LCSW

President

Kathy Randall has a master’s degree in social work from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.  She is a certified care manager and a licensed clinical social worker.  She has been active in the aging community for 9 years.  She is President of Randall Elder Care Consultants and Age @ Home Elder Care Management.  She started the non profit Scripps Ranch Elder Care Alliance in 2009 in order for her friends and neighbors in Scripps Ranch to successfully age in place.  She and her husband of 30 years, Gary Randall have a daughter Nora, who attends UCLA.

Sue Hunt

Sue Hunt is a ten year resident of Scripps Ranch.   She lives with her husband, Craig, and daughter, Katie, in Crown Collection.    New Great Dane puppy, Abe, recently joined the household and thinks everything belongs to him.   The Hunt family moved to Scripps Ranch in 1998 when Sue’s  civilian job as a Contract Specialist with the Navy was transferred from the San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego.   Sue graduated from California State University-Hayward with a B. S. in Business.   Sue has over 30 years experience in federal  acquisition and holds  certifications in Contracting and Program Management.     In March of 2008, she switched from full-time to part-time work with the Navy.   Sue is excited about volunteering as the Vice-President /Secretary for SRECA.

Connie Millett

Cornelia "Connie" Millett

Information & Referral Chair

Connie has been living in Scripps Ranch for just over a year.  Connie, her husband John and their children Madeline and Matt, originally from Australia, moved to Scripps Ranch after living in Singapore for 4 years.  With a Master in Gerontology from Australia, Connie worked in the age care industry in Australia for five years where she practiced both the personal side of care as well as administrative health care practices.  While in Singapore she worked as a teacher's assistant at the Australian International School.

Here in the US, she has attained her US Work Visa, now working as a Geriatric Care Manager and is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.  To further her passion in Elder Care, Connie is also a member of the North County Dementia Consortium.  Connie knows that the Scripps Ranch Community has a large Senior population and is confident that together as a community Senior Services will flourish. Connie volunteers with the SRECA as the Information and Referral Chair from the groups inception.

Elenor Stenzel

Elenor Stenzel

Volunteer Coordinator

Elenor has been a resident of Scripps Ranch since 1973.   She lives with her husband, Charlie, and has 2 children, Kevin and Debbie.   Elenor has a long history of volunteering in Scripps Ranch at the schools, at church, and for sports.  She was the first recipient of the Scripps Ranch Citizen of the Year Award and she and Charlie were the first recipients of the couple’s award for Scripps Ranch Volunteers.  Elenor is one of the originating members of the Scripps Ranch Soccer Club that is now 26 years old.  In addition to being the SRECA Volunteer Coordinator, Elenor also currently works at the library at St. Gregory the Great School.  Elenor received an Associate Degree from Miramar College in Special Studies.   Elenor has held the positions of Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant at several San Diego schools including Jerabek Elementary, Vista Grande, San Diego Community College and Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College.  Elenor  is anxious to help set up facilities for use by the seniors on the ranch so that they may remain on the ranch as they age and stay in the community they have known.

Nita Smith

Nita Smith

Activities Coordinator

Nita has lived in Scripps Ranch for almost six years, and in San Diego for twenty three years.  She received her BA from the University of Maryland in Philosophy and her MA from The Catholic University of America in DC in Religion and Psychology, primarily Eastern religions with emphasis on Indian Philosophy and Religion.  She has lectured on the Life and Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, and the philosophy and psychology of the Upanishads for over 35 years.  She has done all of the classroom studies and research leading to a PhD degree in psychology.  She is certified in Tibetan Buddhist Psychology and is a Counselor in Western and Tibetan Buddhist cognitive practices for emotional well-being. 

Mary Drummond

Technology Specialist

Mary has a BA in Communications/Marketing from Thomas Edison State College and a Web Publishing Certificate from UCSD. She is also a trained graphic artist. Mary and her husband, Jim Paterniti, moved from the East Coast to Scripps Ranch in 1995 to pursue new opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Industry, and never looked back. Mary works part-time for Weight Watchers and has been a volunteer in the Scripps Ranch Community since the Cedars Fire in 2003. She and Jim are Co-Executive Vice Presidents of the Scripps Ranch Civic Association. Mary and Jim were the Scripps Ranch Citizens of the Year in 2010. Mary is eager to pursue the development of communication technology and infrastructure which will enable the SRECA to provide key programs for the Senior Community in Scripps Ranch to successfully age in place.

Ron Greenwald

Ron Greenwald, MBA, SRES®

Member-at-large

Ron recently, earned the Senior Real Estate Specialist designation (SRES®). To accomplish this, he was required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older. After 20 years in the financial services industry, Ron recently, joined the nationwide Real Estate firm of Keller Williams and moved into the Scripps Ranch community in January of this year. Ron has spent the last 24 years living and working in San Diego County and looks forward to his continuing involvement in the local community and the Scripps Ranch Elder Care Alliance.
